THE OLD HOSPITAL – 5 STARS
I enjoyed reading the story, wondering what the ending would be.

PHIL’S BALLOON – 5 STARS
I thought that, even with level A1-A2 vocabulary and grammar, stories which are interesting for adults can be written. I have been practicing extensive reading now and then, and feel I have improved. I want to read two or three books by the same author at the same level!

TRAIN TRAVEL – 5 STARS
EFL level 2 A1/A2 Starter. A collection of five short stories. The protagonists are as follows: a young Malaysian man travelling in Italy, an elderly woman in New Zealand visiting her son in Auckland, a Jamaican man in Japan visiting his friend in Shikoku, an Australian man travelling in the Czech Republic, and a young boy in Canada who is full of curiosity. The feeling after reading each of them is as follows: story 1 – pleasant, story 2- shocking, story 3 -warm, story -surprising, story 5 -pleasant. They are episodes that don’t happen in reality, but they show the positive side of the unexpected when travelling. I recommend it for people who like travelling as they will enjoy it. I was happy with the price considering the number of words.

HARUNA’S STORY PART 1 – 5 STARS
The story is interesting, so I wondered what was going to happen, and could continue reading. The story develops quickly, so reading the English is not stressful.

WE MET ONLINE – 4 STARS
Story 1 in this book was featured in the April 2021 edition of the Tacho Tadoku Magazine. It was simple and easy to read, and targeted at adults, so I bought the book. The Kindle edition is cheap. It may not be enough for an advanced learner, but for me, I could enjoy reading it without stress (no need to look up words). The outcome of the stories can be guessed, but there are many useful expressions to use in conversation, and it is fun to read in English.

ADVENTURE IN ROME – 4 STARS
This is level 2, but as usual with this series, it is easy to understand. Lily’s mother was supposed to go on a tour of Rome, but Lily ends up going alone. Even so, she enjoys the tour. When she takes photos for social media, she accidentally records a crime scene, and is targeted by criminals. The leader of the group is a thug who has committed many murders, but the others are dumb. (I, personally, was relieved at this!) The word count is 6,068,so it’s perfect for beginning extensive reading.

ENJOY YOUR HOMESTAY – 4 STARS
There are no big incidents so as a story it may not be interesting, but I could read it with peace of mind. The characters were all good people! The book is about a homestay, so it is a story about everyday life. There are also many conversations, so it is good and easy to read for beginners.
