Walter Pretty and Amelia Bright are detectives in a small town. One day, an old man is found dead in his house. Pretty and Bright’s boss says the man had an accident, but the two detectives don’t believe it. They think it was murder. Then the police doctor tells them about another dead body. Is there a connection? Is there a killer in the town? The other detectives don’t believe Pretty and Bright. The situation becomes very dangerous when Pretty and Bright try to solve the mystery.
